Sorrow
Sorrow can feel so overwhelming and hard to put into words. This painting is my attempt to express it without words. Can you feel it? I had this idea before I ever had a reference I could use. Sketching the idea and then painting it reminded me of Norman Rockwell's process as he described it. So I called him Norman while I painted him and had to ask him quite a bit what he needed to be finished.
