This 27” x 32” custom pastel on archival sanded Wallis paper captures the inner thoughts of a young Maiko, an apprentice in the ancient art of the Geisha. A Maiko spends years learning the disciplines of music, dance, and poise that define this celebrated tradition, which has been passed down since 1751.
