Dogs in the Hood

I started with Lux pastel paper; I established background and major blocks of color using Pan Pastels. I continued with a variety of soft pastels, paying particular attention to light and some especially fun shadows (you can see shadows of the dog’s toenails on the wagon). I finished with pastel pencils for the dogs’ fur and other fine details.
