"Funded"

As a public school teacher, I have lived and been impacted by the funding limits and cuts for public education. I have watched many talented educators laid off as the result of limited or cut funds due to the inequities of our current property tax structure and other governmental decisions (or refusal to make decisions).
This has always stood in bold contrast to watching all of the money that is poured in sponsoring sports and other branded activities. Imagine what it would look like if these companies poured their billions of dollars into a different cause? How would that change things? We know money invested in education pays off significantly. What skills would these future adults bring to our society?
