Lamentations

This painting was created for the March theme, "En pleine lumière," at Galerie Rose-Art. I wanted to add a vampiric touch to it.
One of my main source of inspiration was the work of Henry Fuseli, known for his fantastical and romantic paintings.
The piece is a 15x20 made entirely with soft pastels. I primarily used Girault and Terry Ludwig pastels, which offer incredible transparency and blending.
I used my favorite surface Sennelier's La Carte paper.
