The prayer
Gray langurs are sacred animals in India. They are also known as the Hanuman Langur (after the Hindu divinity Hanuman - part-man, part-monkey). Black faces and tips of paws resemble the burns suffered by god Hanuman. When I was in India, I was fascinated by monkeys that lived in the cities. I could watch them for hours. Their natural environment is shrinking so they share urban areas with humans.
