Passage
This piece is the first part of a diptych, created on a canvas panel with a red-orange acrylic ink underpainting, layered with red, greens and yellows. I used hard pastels and pastel pencils for the finer details. Inspired by a photo I took while helping my sister move into her college dorm, it captures a moment of transition and light before the space changed. The work reflects on how quickly things shift and the elusive search for hope, something just out of reach yet guiding us forward.
